Get Your Local Coach ("we", "us") operates getyourlocalcoach.com, a marketplace for booking in-person lessons with local coaches and venues. We are based in Singapore and are the data controller of the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@getyourlocalcoach.com.

Account and profile details (name, email, phone, password, photo, bio, languages, preferred city); booking and activity data (sessions, packs, courses, QR check-ins, reviews, messages); and, for coaches and venues, payout and identity-verification details. We also estimate your approximate location from your IP address to show nearby coaches, and record limited technical data and the IP attached to booking or contact requests for security.

Some coaching involves health or fitness information. You are not required to provide it; where you choose to share it, we process it only with your explicit consent. You must be 18 or older to hold an account or make a booking. Bookings for a child must be made by a parent or guardian, who consents on the child's behalf.

We use your data to create and manage your account, process bookings and payments, pay coaches and venues, verify identities, prevent fraud, provide support, and improve the platform. Depending on the activity, our legal basis is performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests, or a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time.

We use strictly necessary storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences, plus optional analytics (Google Analytics) to understand usage. In the EU/UK, analytics cookies load only after you consent.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. To run the platform we use service providers that process data only on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), Wise (payouts), Mailjet (email), Google (maps and analytics), Cloudflare (media storage and bot protection), Sentry (error monitoring), and our hosting providers.

When you choose to book a coach or venue, we send them your name, email, and phone number so they can contact you and deliver the session. This only happens as a result of an action you take. From that point the coach or venue is an independent controller of the data they hold about you.

We and our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be transferred outside your region. Where personal data of people in the EU/EEA or UK is transferred abroad, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it after closure, except where we must retain records longer (for example financial and tax records). Security logs and analytics are kept for limited periods.

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, traffic is encrypted with TLS, and we never store full card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take appropriate measures to protect your data.

Subject to your local law (including the GDPR and Singapore's PDPA), you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your data protection authority. To exercise a right, email contact@getyourlocalcoach.com and we'll respond within one month.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; we'll notify you of material changes.
